This doesn't quite belong in the "Twilight Songs" topic, so I decided to start a new one.

Are there any commercial songs that you think fit the Twilight theme? I know that SM has her own playlists, but I've been kind of thinking of my own playlist. It's short but it includes:

Can you tell I've been listening to The Veronicas a lot? I'll probably think more, but this really just started as the Lifehouse and The Veronicas songs, and then I added the rest as I went through one of my playlists...

What about the rest of you?

I don't have one for the whole book, but I do have a couple of songs for certain moments.

Swear it Again--Westlife...for When Edward is convincing Bella he is going to stay with her forever at the end of New Moon

I Lay My Love On You--Westlife...for when Jacob [spoil]imprints on Nessie[/spoil]

Can you tell I've been listening to Westlife I alot?

after reading New Moon for the first time two songs really stood out in my head first for after Edward leaves Bella is 'The Fall' by the Electric Light Orchestra and another was for when Edward came back and was Trying to convince Bella he was real and not leaving her, even though he still believed that HE didnt deserve HER..... 'Far Away' by Nickleback...
but thats just my thoughts..

The song "As long as you're mine" from the musical Wicked always reminds me of Twilight and the song "24" by Jem reminds of when Bella is running to the ballet studio to meet James believing she is going to die.

I love the song 'Fever' by Family Force 5 for Jacob...Cause he is hot. Literally.

Hello, new to the boards, slight intro, I'm emma, not aussie but i like it here so, heh so now you guys are stuck with a new vampire lover.. anyway, to the point..

I think it all comes down to Muse, Stephanie always talks about them and so I've picked on their scent, erm, music and I must say I see so much of the book in there, for example:

Falling Away With You - I think is the perfect song for when Edward leaves Bella

Time is Running Out - I think it explains so perfectly Edward's emotions for Bella when he first meets her and as he soon discovers he's in love with her. It's like an inner discussion with himself, trying to convince himself he's up to the challenge. I love it, it suits the situation perfectly, imo.

Unintended - for when Bella makes the inner choice between Jake and Edward. (also one of my fave Muse songs)

Feeling Good- kinda sums up the waking as a vampire thing for Bella.

Hysteria - Honeymoon anyone? From Edward's point of view would be my guess..

Sing for Absolution - Edward when going to Bella's room without her knowing.

Invincible - sort of the whole Volturi coming to get them in Breaking Dawn, and them preparing for it together.

And so you get my drift, I guess she was being very honest when she said Muse was just that, her muse..

I think differently about 'Time is Running Out' i think its more suited to BD when the cullens realise that the volturi are coming for them

I think there are lots of songs that fit the twilight series.
Some of mine are:

The Fray- You Found me (when edward leaves bella and she relies on jacob)
My Chemical Romance- Famous Last Words (when edward leaves bella)
White noise - the living end (with how edward cant read/hear bella's thoughts)
30 seconds to mars- Attack (when edward first smells bella's scent in biology and wants to kill her)
Linking Park- what ive done (with how edward believes he is evil etc)
The Goo Goo Dolls: Iris (just sums up edward and his feelings for bella perfectly)
Kelly Clarkson- My life would suck with out u (edward and bella's relationship)
HIM- Vampire Heart (Edward)

Thats all i can think of at the moment

'Please shine' by We Shot The Moon as the 'shine' could be Edward in the sun and I like the line 'washed up like a seashell longing to be dry' as it could be Bella hating the rain in Forks heehee 'longing to be dry'.
