I think that was just Bela's (SM's) way of describing the panic/anxiety attacks Bella has whenever she allows herself to think of the Cullens. (because that's what they sound like symptom wise..the whole hyperventalating, I can't breathe thing) and admittedly yeah I thought it was a little pathetic...If it were me I wouldn't have ever gotton over it completely but I wouldn't be holding myself together and walking around like a zombie and would do my best to move on with my life.

I just finished re-reading NM and I really enjoyed it more the second time around. I don't have a problem with the middle part of the book, it breaks my heart every time when I read it - like you guys, those blank pages where it just lists the months... *sob* and I really enjoy Jacob's and Bella's friendship, I like that she has someone to help her over the whole pain of Edward leaving, even though he has other intentions towards her - it doesn't bother me so much, because he helps her.

I don't think she could get mad at Edward when she saw him again, to me, she didn't feel that he had anything to apologise for and of course, because she has low self esteem (that's what she appears to be to me anyway) she would never think that she had any right to get mad at him. Breaks your heart. I was so glad when Edward finally made her realise just how much he loved her and she believed it.. hallelujah!

So yeah, the book was better for me the second time around!

anyone else find that after reading new moon for the second time that they now have a greater appreciation for jacob?? [he still annoys me a bit in eclipse, but i understand how much he loves bella now]

new moon was so depressing.
i cried from chapter 3 all the way to chapter 17 when alice came back.
Then i cried somemore in chapter 23

Sooo sad.

I think that is really unfair to say Jacob almost ruined everything. Why can't you blame Edward for leaving? Or Bella for running to Jacob and leading him on? What did Jacob do that was so terrible? Comfort Bella? Be a good friend? Protect her? Save her life?

Jacob doesn't deserve all the crap he gets...

Edward.. was an idiot.. but he was doing what he thought was the right thing. The whole thing is just heartbreaking. Esp. knowing that Edward was going to have to live the rest of her life knowing she was there, living her life, and wasn't with him...

Its too easy, really, to forgive him for leaving lol
