i agree with you there. i can only really remember two things about mrs wilton: her mole and her very scary mood swings. one minute she'd be being nice, the next it was banshee woman!

random fact- mrs donaldson is the mother of one of my friends from primary school. it's a very small world.

but for a woman renown for crazy moods would be the legendary ms bultitude (who used to be a science teacher at Manly)

However, this is not the right place to be discussing teachers, I believe...

lol back on topic - it looks like your idea for an early opening is a good one - cause Kino's planning one too! ;)

What is happening now is that we have signed an embargo agreement with the US distributor to say that we will not sell the book until Monday August 4th. As we can technically sell it from 12am, we are hoping to have a celebratory breakfast (the store will open at either 6 am or 7am) for those who have ordered the US edition so that they can pick it up before they go to school or work. The local edition will not be delivered to us until later in the morning so this will enable people to pick up their orders that little bit earlier and meet up with fellow fans."

That is from Kinokuniya Sydney. Please do let me know if you'd be interested, because if there isn't enough support it will not be going ahead.

(from Alexa on TA)

EDIT: I just thought I'd post this from Josie on TA too....

I just preordered from Borders, in Melbourne and the guy said that even though its coming out on the 4th, we can't get it until exactly 2.01pm! I never heard anything so ridiculous. I hope they change their mind but apprently its illegal for them to release it earlier! Has anyone else heard about that?

Mallie? Stef? .... anyone??? is this plausible???

I asked my manager about the release of BD...

she hasn't been asked to sign any paperwork regarding the embargo of BD like she had for the Deathly Hallows' release last year, which indicates that the books will probably be sold as soon as it's in store on the 4th.

Also, in the DH release last year, A&R company stores were delivered the books before it's release date, and the manager believes it will also be so for the BD release, although as far as we know, nothing has been issued by HO to indicate the books being sent to the store before or on the release date.

*sobs*

*sobs some more*

Bad news everybody. *said like Dr Nick, but much much sadder*

Every. Single. Retailer. Will NOT be getting their book shipments for Breaking Dawn UNTIL August 4th. This means Manly cannot open early (though we can get them from Kino...) and the only store that will have their books before like, midday, will be Kino.

I FREAKING HATE YOU HACHETTE LIVRE.
