Hey all,

The podcast needs some guest hosts! Each episode will feature an extra contributor in addition to the 4 original hosts (Mallie, Angie, Emily and I), who will help us in our Twilight discussion. Basically, they'll do everything that the original 4 hosts get to do, except they'll only be on for one episode.

EDIT: So because my original post was monstrously (read: scarily) long, here's a rough guide of what you need to know.

-- TALK. Stupid as it sounds, TALK. You're on a PODCAST, where you're getting recorded to TALK. You're also the guest host, which means you're only going to be on once, so you may as well make the most of it. We won't diss your opinions.

-- Be ENTHUSIASTIC! Of course you will be; you're on the podcast for goodness' sake! But yeah, it's just better if you dont speak in a monotone. Just enjoy it; you're talking Twilight, after all.

-- GET A GOOD MICROPHONE/RECORDING DEVICE. What's possibly worse than a bad guest host is a really good one that keeps CUTTING OUT. We want to hear you, uninterrupted. So, please, get a good quality recording device.

-- RESPECT EVERYONE'S OPINIONS Remember to be open minded and respectful of other people's ideas. Don't ruthlessly shoot down other people's ideas.

-- BE NICE. No negativity is allowed on the podcast. You may not like a section of the book/actor/etc, and you're allowed to express that, but don't go around tearing into things like there's no tomorrow. Please don't be bitchy/a tool.

-- HAVE AN INTELLIGENT DISCUSSION. Don't just squee for the entire time and raise superficial points; try and get really into the topic. Use quotes from the book/actors/Stephenie/etc.

-- RESEARCH You've got to back up your thoughts with research so you know what you're talking about; it only takes a few seconds on Google or Wiki

-- NOTHING OFFENSIVE. Try to avoid controversial topics. You know what I mean; social taboos and anything ending in 'ism' (eg. racism, sexism, etc) unless it's Cullenism.

-- You'll also need SKYPE and a GOOD QUALITY RECORDING DEVICE (eg. microphone or headset) Skype is a downloadable program that's free to use.


Erm ... yeah, I think that's all for now. If there's anything I've forgotten, seriously do not hesitate to post it. If you've got any questions, just post them and we'll answer them to the best of our ability.

I actually read the whole thing.
Mainly because I was sure there would be some criteria that I didn't meet, but apparently not =P
