To be honest I didn't get angry at Bella for kissing Jacob...it was wrong but at the time Jacob was being extremely manipulative and she was only thinking about saving his life, I mean he did save hers more than once in New Moon and I know I'd do anything to protect someone I cared about so while I didn't like the fact that she kissed him I can't fault the reasons why she did.

I did find fault with a lot of the characters in EC...Bella was too clingy and whiny and (with the exception of demanding she be allowed to see Jacob) didn't stand up for herself. Edward was a little overbearing but I'm extremely independant so I would have been telling him that while I love him it's my life and I'm a big girl and can make my own decisions and Jacob was very pushy and manipulative....I still love em though haha.

Its hard trying to make my mind up about Eclipse when I read everyone elses takes on it.

Bella and her whole marriage issues. I thought they were so bogus. I mean she wants eternity with Edward and she doesn't want to get married 'cause she's not THAT girl. Puh-lease. She says it's pretty much official so what's she got against getting married? I think she made Edward feel like total rubbish when she said those things that made him said that the deal was off. She was making the wedding sound all practical and really disregarding. That's why it took me so long to read Eclipse again; to get over my grudge over Bella being like that.

I thought Edward was being annoying at the start over the going to La Push thing. Bella was with the wolves all of NM, so he should have realised that she would have been safe. But in the end when he did let her go...I don't know why and I love Edward heaps, but I always think he's scheming. He tells Bella that she's got a one-tracked mind and Jacob that he can think of many things at once that I just think that he's always planning something that's not all that good...but then in the end he IS the good guy. Quite a talent!

Now Jacob...I also love him. I was reading Eclipse and he says that he would have regretted what could have been if he and Bella hadn't faced their feelings towards one another. But if it were me I would have bowed out in NM. He saw how much Bella was hurting and Edward was the only thing that was going to make her sane again.

i personally loved eclipse, but i know a few people who said it was their least favourite book... (some said they hated it??!!) it was probably the jacob/bella/edward thing, but i still can't believe that they didnt like it!

guess what guys?? buying all three books tomorrow! *smiles*

I loved Eclipse, I adored chapter 20, I love love LOVED seeing that insecure side of Edward that we never EVER get to see (the whole "its not because you're more eager for immortality than for eternity with me" just broke my itty bitty fangirly heart)
But at the same time, I wanted to smack Bella, and Jacob. Jacob for forcing himself on her until she gave, and Bella for giving such pitiful excuses as to why she couldn't marry Edward. Pah. I'm sorry, you want to be with him for eternity (as Rhon said!), and its the real way of ensuring he NEVER leaves you again, but you can't walk down an AISLE? Are you freaking kidding me?!

Guess which chapter my username is from? I love chapter 20 with all my heart.

Plus it was the chapter stupid Bella FINALLY agreed to marry him. I wanted to slap her for her stupid reasons. And for making Edward insecure (though i did love seeing that side of him).

I really liked Eclipse. It's probably my second favourite behind Twilight.

Edward was really cool in Eclipse because we got to see a more human side of him and the way he tries to look out for Bella and everyone reminds me of myself. Also how Bella was torn between her love with Edward and how she didn't want to hurt Jacob. was really good and the big fight at the end was cool

yep i love eclipse. edward is perfection. and it kind of makes me love and hate jake at the same time.and i dont think edward is too smug. i think he is wonderful

completely agree... i actually got quite angry at bella + jacob in eclipse (for the same reasons as you) - and because bella was hurting my edward
[have to get the books on thurs now cos im now busy until then *sob*]

Which makes him more or less a criminal.

But im just glad bella chose edward.
Or i would have cried.

In new moon.. i was bad enough.
I threw the book out the window.
Then realising what I did.. I ran down the stairs and saved it from the garden in the front yard.

But with breaking dawn.
Stephenie would never kill of Edward.
Why?
Because fans everywhere would probably kill themselves.
No joke.
There are people out there who would do that.
I'd just cry for ages.
But there are some fans out there who would die by suicide if Edward died.

Now when the first chapter comes out next saturday (YAYYYY!)
She wont reveal absolutely anything major.
Clearly!
I wouldnt be suprised if it was from Jacob or Edward's view.
Something clearly has to go wrong-- whether it be the wedding or the vampire transformation.


But it's still exciting stuff!
